Essentials for effective research data management

When commencing your research project, it's important to have a basic understanding of research data management principles and know some practical strategies for managing, organizing and preserving research data throughout the research lifecycle. A Research Data Management Plan (RDMP) plays a crucial role in any research project/activity, as it assists in identifying the project's data management requirements and how to plan for them effectively. The new UWA Research Data Hub's provides a place for UWA researchers and HDR students, to create a RDMP and submit a request for UWA approved data storage for their active research data.

This webinar is aimed at Early Career Researchers and HDR Students and covers:

  • An overview of Research Data Management (RDM) and why it is important
  • Guidance on using the UWA Research Data Hub for
    • Completing your Data Managment Plan
    • Requesting UWA provisioned/approved storage for your active research data
  • UWA Library's RDM toolkit
  • Storing Active Research Data of up to 1TB through MS Teams Research Projects and Sharepoint.
