Cultural Commerce: Making the British World in Australia through Gardening Literature In-Person / Online

The UWA Library is hosting a lunchtime lecture by Holly Swenson, PhD Candidate at Northwestern University and the inaugural recipient of the Dorothy W. Collin Fellowship in the History of the Book, titled "Cultural Commerce: Making the British World in Australia through Gardening Literature.
 
This 45 minute presentation will showcase material from the UWA Library Special Collections to show resonances between popular (and well distributed) British gardening design books and the lesser studied early and then late works on Australian garden design.
 
Date: Tuesday 28th February 2023
Time: 1pm – 1:45pm
Location: Reid Library Level 2 Conference Room and livestreamed via Microsoft Teams. A Teams link will be circulated to registered attendees prior to the session.
 
Registration is free but essential. Registrations close at 5pm on Friday 24th February 2023.
